Aram IAS Academy ("we", "us", "our") operates Aram IAS Academy — the mobile app and website that provide UPSC/IAS exam preparation content, including video courses, current affairs, test series, and related features (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and optionally your phone number and city. If you tell us your target exam year or optional subject, we store that too, to personalize your course recommendations.
Usage information. To make the app useful, we track things like which lectures you've watched and how far, quiz attempts and scores, notes you write, articles you bookmark, and your daily activity streak.
Payment information. When you purchase a course or subscription, payment is processed by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We store a record of the transaction (amount, payment method, status, and a transaction reference) so we can maintain your invoices and enrollment — we do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials; those are handled directly by Razorpay.
Technical information. Like most apps, our servers log standard technical data (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and to keep the Service running reliably.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:
Passwords are stored using one-way cryptographic hashing — we never store your password in plain text. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active, so your progress and purchase history remain available to you. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must keep transaction records for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
You can review and update your profile information from within the app. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, contact us at [email protected] — we will act on your request within a reasonable time.
Aram IAS Academy is intended for UPSC civil services aspirants and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
